Alternatives to Averages: Standards-Based and Other Nontraditional Grading Practices

Alternative grading systems provide instructors with assessment options that transcend conventional grading practices and increase student motivation. This interactive workshop will introduce the basics of standards-based and specifications grading, provide examples from large and small enrollment classes, and share implementation strategies.
